If you’re following me over on social media (@drjessicaemery on Instagram, my favorite place to hang out on the internet!), you know that I recently launched the Dental Brand Bootcamp! My team and I pre-launched it in early January and the response was so positive! When we officially opened the doors at the end of January, people eagerly got started on the modules and really just took off with the workbooks, activities, and prompts!
I was busy, busy, busy in February with some speaking engagements and conferences, and then… COVID-19 happened. Everything came to a screeching halt in my world and I was at home with nothing but time. If you know me at all, you know that this is a rare experience. I am someone who just goes all the time, nonstop, so I was a little bit stunned for a day or two. What should I do with all of this unexpected time off?
Then, I thought about my bootcamp. What a PERFECT opportunity to show up for my people and add even more value to the bootcamp! In addition to the five modules, the hours of video content, the downloadable content and the free mini-courses that I included for the bootcampers, I decided I would hold live Zoom calls every Monday to walk people through the material and answer questions in real time.
I’ve done mini online courses before, but never with a live element like this. It was so fun to connect and answer questions in real time. Now that I’m back to the practice, I miss these Monday afternoon hang outs!
But, back to the original idea for the bootcamp. There were a few big reasons I decided we needed to do something like this:
#1 – Dentists Need Everything Streamlined
I’m a dentist so I get it. You want to learn and you have all of the best intentions, but life is CRAZY and before you know it, it’s Friday afternoon. CE is tough, and I knew if I was going to actually help dentists, I needed to create a one-stop-shop for dental marketing education.
Individual courses on specific topics are great, but when you want to do a deep dive and really do the work on your practice, you need to be able to have everything organized and in one place. You can’t go searching for answers in YouTube videos or blog posts. My goal was to give dentists absolutely everything they need to grow their practice in one easy-to-access toolkit.
#2 – Dentists Need More Than Just The Basics
So many dental marketing courses out there are filled with surface level stuff. I know some dentists need to start from square one, but most dentists already know that we need to post on social and send emails. They get the concept of storytelling. They know they need a consistent brand. They get it. They just don’t know what the NEXT step is once they’ve done all that.
Algorithms change all the time and unfortunately, we can’t just rely on free social media sites to market our dental services. We need to dive deeper and that’s why I created this super intensive, super value-packed branding bootcamp.
#3 – Dentists Need Advice From Someone Who Knows
Listen, I know there are plenty of branding courses and bootcamps out there. But I strongly believe that dentists need advice from someone who really gets it. You and I both know that dentistry is a total unicorn. It doesn’t follow the same rules that other small businesses follow, so you need advice from someone who has been there and done that.
If you invest in other branding tools, you have to do the additional work of taking that generic advice and tweaking it to suit the nuances of your practice. Who has the time or energy for that? I wanted to share my first-hand knowledge with other dentists because I want you to work fewer and make more money. Who wouldn’t want that??
